Key To Success

What do you do when you come across a key to success in a book you're reading? You ponder over it. Since I read many books and come across many keys, I thought it would be fun to share the ideas that arise as I contemplate a key to success. Reading is not just about absorbing information, it's also about contemplating, allowing the ideas to blossom within, and nurturing a seed tossed in the rich soil of the inner garden.

Name:
Location: Denver, Colorado, United States

I got my Master's degree in psychotherapy more than a decade ago. Since then I've studied the human condition with fascination. Over the years, I've learned a singular lesson: your life does not work when you oppose your soul nature. If you want a magical life, you have to drop your inauthentic transactions with the world. You discover your own power when you spend time alone to figure out what you really love to do.

Why Seatbelts Are A Bad Idea

I hope that you won't be disappointed to hear that the seat belts that I'm referring to have nothing to do with automobile or aviation safety regulations.

I'm referring to "psychic seatbelts." The self-restraint maxims that you use on yourself on a habitual basis to keep you strapped into a life that brings you little joy and satisfaction.

You click these seat belts firmly into place because you believe that they keep you safe.

Let me give you some startling news:

You can ABSOLUTELY have what you desire.

And the only reason why you may disagree, perhaps strongly disagree, is because you have replaced faith with doubt, courage with hesitation, and hope with timidity.

You may feel safer strapping yourself down with the familiar, but it's not a good idea because it does not make you happy.

You deserve clarity of vision. You deserve to take the time to see, feel, and know in your own mind and heart every nuance of your dream. You deserve to believe in "impossible" things and to find within the power to make them possible.

For some it is a new business, where they are freed from the tyranny of following people and events that are not close to their heart. For others it may have something to do with artistic self-expression or closer relationships or vibrant health or some remarkable work of contribution and service. What is "it" for you?

The first step to moving toward your dream is clearly envisioning it in your mind. The more clarity, the quicker your pulse, the faster you will draw it to you.

When you can see it, feel it, and believe it, you're already half-way there to getting it. Because there is nothing in the world more powerful than a motivated mind. Determined men and women have escaped maximum security concentration camps, recovered from "incurable" diseases, and recouped business losses that ran in the millions. They have climbed tall mountains, swum across oceans, and walked across continents.

If you're not as determined it's only because you're wearing a "psychic seatbelt."

Your mind is fuzzy, details blur, and you can't sit still long enough to make the vision clear.

This is your seatbelt strapping you down.

You're remembering some past incident that holds you back. Or maybe you've never tried "it" before and you don't know how.

This is your seatbelt strapping you down.

You don't feel like it, you lack energy, you lack support or knowledge, and you just can't seem to get it going.

This is your seatbelt strapping you down.

How do you change? How do you stop behaving as if you're walking around with a stick of kryptonite strapped to your back? What needs to happen before you put on your blue leotards and start leaping tall buildings in a single bound?

Here's the cure for an immediate release from mediocrity:

Simply repeat to yourself, "I can ABSOLUTELY do this. I can ABSOLUTELY have what I want."

Repeat this simple affirmation day after day; and one day you will no longer ask, "Am I worthy of my goals?" but instead, you'll ask, "Is my goal worthy of me?"

Please listen carefully as I whisper something in your ear:

"You can ABSOLUTELY follow your heart. You can ABSOLUTELY make your dreams show up in reality. You can ABSOLUTELY have what you want and more."
